Older Mare-Ire at 7-9.5f, MGSW & MG1SP-Eng, G1SP-Ire, $695,671}, by Nayef), a promising runner-up over this course and distance on debut last time Aug. 6, broke well and raced under a tight grip in a prominent second through halfway in this one. Scrubbed along passing the two pole, the 4-6 favourite seized control at the foot of the hill and was pushed out on the climb to easily account for Unforgetable Filly (GB) (Sepoy {Aus}) by 2 1/2 lengths. “It's good to back and, as Newmarket is just down the road, it made sense,” commented Ryan Moore on his return to the saddle. With an eye to the future Cheveley Park Stud's Chris Richardson added, “That's our 60th winner of the season and she's got some smart entries. We might consider the [Sept. 23 G2] Rockfel [S. at Newmarket's Rowley Mile track] and she's in the [Oct. 7 G1] Fillies' Mile [also at Newmarket]. That might be a bit high too soon, but it shows the level of esteem [trainer] Sir Michael [Stoute] holds her in.” The homebred bay is the first winner out of MG1SP G2 May Hill S. and G2 Windsor Forest S. victress Spacious (GB) (Nayef), herself a half-sister to MGSW Dimension (GB) (Medicean {GB}).
