Gulfstream Park has announced that December purses for its Championship Meet, which begins Saturday with the Claiming Crown, will be increased by 10%. “Business was up in November at Gulfstream Park West, and that gives us the ability to increase purses throughout the month of December at the Championship Meet,” said Bill Badgett, General Manager of Gulfstream Park. “The Championship Meet is always special, and we're looking forward to our Opening Day Saturday. We know fans and horsemen love the Claiming Crown, and with the number of entries and the perfect weather forecasted for South Florida, we can't wait for Saturday.”
