Retired Hall of Fame rider Ramon Dominguez, known for his success on the racetrack and his charity off the racetrack, has become an ambassador for the equine welfare charity Brooke USA. The jockey was a guest bartender at a fundraiser in New York City Sept. 19 raising money for the countless equines that have been displaced during recent Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

Brooke USA is primarily a charity aimed to better the lives of horses, donkeys and mules in developing nations, but has also become active in working to mitigate the effects of hurricanes effecting equine populations in the United States. Thus far, Brooke USA has raised over $35,000 in funds to assist animals in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico through the USEF Equine Disaster Relief Fund.
