All the expected big names remain in the five Group 1s for this weekend's Irish Champions Weekend after Tuesday's declaration stage.
Dual Derby winner Harzand (Ire) (Cape Cross {Ire}) and six-time Group 1 winner Minding (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) head 17 still standing for the €1.25-million G1 Qipco Irish Champion S., with the latter getting the antepost nod at 7-4 with Paddy Power. Their tasks will not be easy, however, with Group 1 winners Almanzor (Fr) (Wootton Bassett {GB}), New Bay (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), Fascinating Rock (Ire) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}), Found (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), Highland Reel (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and Hawkbill (Kitten's Joy) still signed on.
Minding has also been left in the G1 Coolmore Matron S. and is one of 12 remaining there. That list also includes this year's dual Group 1-winning filly Qemah (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) and G1 Irish 1000 Guineas winner Jet Setting (Ire) (Fast Company {Ire}).
Defending winner Order Of St George (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) is among 13 remaining in the G1 Palmerstown House Estate Irish St Leger, while the G1 Moyglare Stud S. and G1 Goffs Vincent O'Brien National S. have 12 and 17, respectively, still engaged.
