Alex and Joann Lieblong's The Big Beast (Yes It's True) breezed five furlongs in 1:00.60 over the Saratoga main track in preparation for his next start in the GI Forego S. Aug. 29.
“He's just good,” said trainer Tony Dutrow. “We're very happy with him.”
Winner of the GI King's Bishop S. here last term. The 'TDN Rising Star' was a close second behind fellow Rising Star Rock Fall (Speightstown) last time in this venue's GI Alfred G. Vanderbilt S. Aug. 1.
“I thought he went into the Vanderbilt great and I feel even better about him now,” said Dutrow.
