TDN New Stallions: Omaha Beach

After an illustrious career highlighted by three Grade One wins, Omaha Beach has retired to Spendthrift Farm. The son of War Front will lead this year's freshman class with a stud fee of $45,000. We spoke to Ned Toffey about Omaha Beach and his credentials as a sire.

What separates Omaha Beach from so many others is his versatility. During his 2019 campaign, he won at distances as short as six furlongs and as long as a mile-and-an-eighth. He was also competitive in grass races and, considering that he is a son of War Front, would have likely excelled on that surface if trainer Richard Mandella and owner Rick Porter decided to take that route.
