Meet Claiborne Farm's First Catholic Boy Foal

This year Claiborne Farm is celebrating the arrival of the first foals from 2018 GI Travers S. winner Catholic Boy. We visited the very first Catholic Boy foal to arrive at the farm, a colt out of the War Front mare Line. Claiborne's assistant broodmare manager Mary Ormsby said these first foals reflect "exactly what we want to see in a freshman sire.

Foalin' Around with Elate's First Foal at Claiborne Farm

In this edition of our "Foalin' Around" series, we stopped in at Claiborne Farm and met the first foal out of Grade I winner Elate. Assistant Broodmare Manager Mary Ormsby worked with Elate when she was a foal at Claiborne, and said that this newborn filly is Elate's mini-me. Elate was one of the top racehorses of her division not long ago, but now she's thriving in her new career as a mother.
