Timarwa has a lot to live up to on pedigree, being a daughter of the 1996 G1 Grosser Dallmayr-Preis, GI Beverley D S. and G1 Irish Champion S. heroine Timarida (Ire), but the homebred looks to have the right material based on this facile success. After an educative introduction when a fast-closing second in a Navan maiden in October and a withdrawal at the start of her intended sophomore bow at Leopardstown two weeks ago, the bay consented to load this time and broke smartly to stalk the early pace. Always traveling easily, the heavily supported 11-10 favorite cruised up to Profound Beauty (Ire) (Danehill) at the furlong pole and barely needed a shake of the reins to assert for a 3½-length score.
