Limitless took all the money for this career debut and proved much the best with a wire-to-wire romp on debut Thursday afternoon at the Fair Grounds, becoming the newest ‘TDN Rising Star’. The filly posted a strong worktab over the local strip dating back to January and finalized her preparations for this career unveiling with a five-furlong gate drill in 1:00.40 (2/29) Mar. 7. Tabbed as the even-money choice, she broke sharply and jetted to the front, showing the way in the clear through fractions of :22.10 and :46.16. Never threatened turning for home, the bay was wrapped up late and coasted home 4 1/4 lengths clear of Forecast (Malibu Moon). A daughter of unbeaten 2010 GII Adirondack S. heroine Position Limit, Limitless was acquired for $37,000 as a Keeneland September yearling. Position Limit, who sold for $700,000 at the 2013 Keeneland November sale while in foal to Awesome Again, has since been sent to Japan.
