2nd Dam: Coconut Show (GB), by Linamix (Fr)

Efaadah raced in the front rank from the outset of this debut and asserted for overall control within a quarter mile of the start. Holding sway thereafter and nudged along at the two pole, the 29-10 favourite quickened further clear approaching the final furlong and kept on strongly under minimal coaxing in the latter stages to easily account for Soustraction (Ire) (Lope de Vega {Ire}) by an impressive three lengths. “Efaadah is a very, very good filly and I don’t think I have trained many better than her, claimed Freddy Head. “Her [half-]sister [Alrahma], who was second in the Morny last year, was good, but I think she is better. She will stay further than Alrahma and, if she remains in good order, I think she could turn out to be an exceptional filly. The homebred bay is out of Listed Prix le Fabuleux winner and G3 Prix de Flore runner-up Albaraah (Ire) (Oasis Dream {GB}) and is thus a half-sister to last term’s G3 Prix de Cabourg victress and G1 Prix Morny runner-up Alrahma (GB) (Shamardal). Albaraah is herself a full-sister to MGSP dual stakes scorer Thai Haku (Ire) and a half to the dam of last year’s G2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte runner-up Boos (Fr) (Dream Ahead). The winner’s fourth dam is MG1SP G3 Prix du Calvados heroine Whakilyric (Miswaki), who produced five stakes-winning sires headed by MG1SW Hernando (Fr) (Niniski) and G1SW Johann Quatz (Fr) (Sadler’s Wells). Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, €13,500.
