 Ever So Clever, given a 2-1 chance in this unveiling, broke last from her rail draw, but moved up along the inside to sit midpack down the backside. Advancing further along the fence to sit third midway around the bend, she was tipped out into the two path to prepare for a tussle with front-running longshot White Tights (Speightstown). The pacesetter offered up brief resistance as heads pointed for home, but Ever So Clear had far more left in the tank, and scampered home with good-looking strides to score by 7 1/4 lengths. White Tights held second. The winner’s dam was graded stakes-placed as a maiden juvenile, before eventually becoming a stakes winner later that season. Foxy Danseur’s second dam is local GSW In Conference (Dayjur), and her third dam is GISW Personal Business (Private Account). She is also responsible for $1.1-million 2014 KEESEP graduate Tathqueef (Tapit)–MSP in England; an A.P.
