+TALE OF TWO (c, 2, Tale of the Cat–Classofsixtythree {GISP, $195,774}, by Include) took all of the play at 3-5, but didn’t have much early speed despite showing a :59 five-furlong work from the gate at Keeneland. Facing a double-digit deficit at the three-eighths marker, the bay colt still appeared to be spinning his wheels at the top of the stretch, but found his best stride nearing the furlong pole and absolutely flew down the center of the track to reel in the longtime leader Fuhrlong (Langfuhr) and win going away by 2 1/2 lengths to become the newest ‘TDN Rising Star’. The winner worked in company with this barn’s 2-year-old Classic Empire, who also made a big close to win his debut Wednesday at Churchill. The winner’s dam ran third in the GI Ruffian H. Sales History: $100,000 RNA Wlg ’14 KEENOV; $175,000 Ylg ’15 FTNAUG; $110,000 Ylg ‘15 FTKOCT. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $50,000.
