Unhindered, campaigned in partnership by longtime Chicago news anchor Ron Magers, put together a strong worktab, both on the farm and over this track, where she drilled a best-of-17 three furlongs from the gate in :35 flat May 29. Sent off right at her morning-line odds of 5-2, the grey filly was hustled away from the gate and led after the opening sixteenth of a mile before being taken well in hand by Eurico Rosa da Silva. Cruising under a long hold on the turn, she skimmed the rail into the lane, widened without ever being encouraged and scampered away to score by five very promising lengths. Elsie's Song (Tale of the Cat), adding Lasix off a debut third over this track and distance May 31, was a strong second without menacing the winner.
