Screen Goddess--a half-sister to Star Billing (Dynaformer), GISW, $415,067--showed some late interest to report home sixth in her six-furlong debut behind subsequent GI Hollywood Starlet S. heroine Streaming (Smart Strike) at Hollywood Park Nov. 15. Stretching to a mile and switching to grass, the 8-5 chalk caboosed the field by no fewer than 17 lengths through swift early fractions of :23.27 and :46.49 afer a slow start. Still with plenty left to do at the top of the stretch, the chestnut was guided out by Hall of Famer Gary Stevens shortly thereafter, and came with giant strides while briefly racing on her wrong lead to graduate by 1 3/4 promising lengths. Kitten de Pere (Kitten's Joy) was second. The unraced Topliner, a half-sister to MGISWs Starrer (Dynaformer) and Stellar Jayne (Wild Rush), brought $1.4 million from Japan's Katsumi Yoshida while in foal to Medaglia d'Oro at the 2012 KEEJAN sale. The aforementioned George Krikorian homebred Star Billing--a $2.6-million purchase by Mt. Brilliant Farm while in foal to Giant's Causeway at the 2013 KEENOV sale--enjoyed her two biggest victories over this course in the 2011 GI Matriarch S. and GIII Senorita S. Lifetime Record: 2-1-0-0, $27,250.
