Victory Ride, winner of the GI Test S. in 2001, debuted with a 14 1/4-length victory that season, and while her first foal to race, Magical Ride, failed to post as dominant a margin, the effort was most impressive. Sent off the 3-1 second choice, the dark bay filly jumped extremely well and showed the way along the inside. She responded nicely when asked by Fernando Jara and pulled away to post a four-length success from Five Star Daydream (Five Star Day).
