The bay filly was no secret in her Mar. 21 debut at Gulfstream Park and set fast fractions, only to be caught at the wire by a neck as the 7-10 favorite. She earned a 95 Beyer Speed Figure for that effort, stamping her the 1-5 chalk to go one better in this spot. Guided over towards the inside by John Velazquez, Talented cut out leisurely splits, coasted into the stretch on a widening lead and cantered under the line some eighth lengths clear of Sanibel Breeze (Exploit), who in turn was 10 lengths clear of third-placed Littlebitoflove (High Yield).
