There has been a lot of talk lately about the American dream, particularly regarding its existence and relativity in a modern era. Sometimes we're reminded that newcomers to this country create not just a dream for themselves, but one for the country, the industry and the people they affect through the course of their new lives here. And so it is with Susan and Charlie Chu, and American horse racing. T.D. Thornton profiles their story and contributions this month. Across the Atlantic, as the European racing season heats up, we'll take you out dining to two U.K. hotspots: one a traditional Newmarket-area stalwart, and another a fresh London upstart. Also, if you've been struck by a photo of French racing or breeding you've seen lately, there's a good chance it was taken by the Polish-born Zuzanna Lupa, an up-and-coming photography star on the French racing scene. We'll show you her 12 favorite photos. And finally, one of America's top trainers is looking for his first Derby win. Mark Casse has this month's last word.
