Racing Community Takes on 24-Hr Challenge to Benefit Racing Welfare

A total of 81 cyclists took part in a 24-hour challenge--embarking on 30km loops that kicked off at Cheltenham racecourse July 16--to benefit Racing Welfare, which supports the racing community. Originally tabbed with a £60,000, the total amount raised by the event is set to top £100,000. Great Racing Welfare Cycle Challenge Revealed

The Great Racing Welfare Cycle Challenge will begin at noon on July 16 and last until noon the following day. The cycling event will raise funds for Racing Welfare, with 20 teams of four participating. This challenge sees two people cycling on the route in a 30km-loop, while the other two team members rest at the 'Riders Camp' at Cheltenham Racecourse. 'Racing Home' To Launch On July 6

Women in Racing and Kindred Group (Unibet), supported by the Racing Foundation, will officially introduce the 'Racing Home' project at Kempton Park from 3-5 p.m. on July 6. Free and open to all industry staff, the event recognises the first motherhood/parenthood portal as part of their ongoing project to educate and empower all stakeholders within the horseracing industry. Racing Home Website Launched

'Racing Home', an online platform for educating and empowering racing's employers, employees and the self-employed, was launched by Women in Racing with support from the Racing Foundation, Kindred Group and the latter's flagship brand Unibet on Wednesday.
