Rescheduled T.I.P. Championships Set For Oct. 24-27 In Aiken, South Carolina

The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) will host the 2024 T.I.P. Championships at Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina, which will be held Oct. 24-27 after its postponement due to Hurricane Helene, the organization said in a presser on Friday. A supporter of Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) has donated a Stretch Run East box at the upcoming Breeders' Cup World Championships to be auctioned off, the group announced via presser. Breanna Moore and Raines Gammon both found immediate success in their first forays in the TAKE2 Junior Rider Program, presented by Thoroughbred Charities of America. Thoroughbred Charities of America Awards Grants Totaling Over $1 Million in 2024

Grants totaling over $1 million were awarded by Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) this year, the organization announced in a release. Eighty six organizations were approved for a grant, including 56 aftercare organizations, 21 backstretch and farm worker programs, five equine-assisted therapy organizations, three Thoroughbred incentive programs, and one research organization. Over the last 34 years, TCA has awarded more than $27 million in grants. From 447 registered horses, 353 have made final entry into the Retired Racehorses Project's 2024 Thoroughbred Makeover and National Symposium, presented by Thoroughbred Charities of America. The RRP released statistics related to this year's group of registered horses Monday. According to the release: The average spent by trainers to acquire their Makeover candidates was $3,067. This includes direct purchase as well as adoption. Equine artist Robert Clark will be offering limited run prints of a one-of-a-kind painting featuring American Pharoah and Justify with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA), the non-profit said in a Friday release. Cody's Wish Added to TCA Stallion Season Auction, Proceeds to Benefit Make-A-Wish

A season with a 2025 breed back to Cody's Wish (Curlin) has been added to the Thoroughbred Charities of America's (TCA) Live Auction and Celebration scheduled to run Sunday, Jan. 7, with the majority of the proceeds going to support the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, announced the TCA Saturday.
