Following storms and torrential rain in the Toronto area Saturday afternoon, Woodbine decided to cancel the remainder of Saturday's 13-race King's Plate card. The track conducted the first five races on the undercard before forcing to cancel because of inclement weather. On paper, it appeared that Paramount Prince (Society's Chairman) had many things going for him heading into the 164th King's Plate at Woodbine. Woodbine Entertainment has released the nominations for the 2023 OLG Canadian Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing, consisting of The King's Plate, the Prince of Wales and the Breeders' S.
