Rescheduled T.I.P. Championships Set For Oct. 24-27 In Aiken, South Carolina

The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) will host the 2024 T.I.P. Championships at Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina, which will be held Oct. 24-27 after its postponement due to Hurricane Helene, the organization said in a presser on Friday. The show welcomes hunter, jumper, English pleasure, dressage, combined test, Western pleasure, ranch riding, competitive trail and in-hand competition. The Jockey Club Reports Foal Crop Decrease of 2.4%; Practical Joke Leads the Way with 277 Mares

The live foal crop of 2024 is down 2.4 percent from 2023, from 18,143 lives foals in 2023 to a current reported foal crop of 17,700 for 2024, according to statistics compiled through Oct. 13 of this year, The Jockey Club reported in a press release on Friday. The organization estimates that the number of live foals reported so far is 85-95 percent complete. The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) and Stable View has postponed this weekend's T.I.P. Championships because of Hurricane Helene and rescheduled the events for Oct. 24-27, the organization said in a press release on Wednesday. The Jockey Club Projects Upcoming Foal Crop At 17,300

The Jockey Club projects a North American registered Thoroughbred foal crop of 17,300 in 2025, which is some 700 fewer foals than the 2024 foal crop estimate of 18,000, the organization said in a press release early Wednesday. Stephen Panus has resigned as president of The Jockey Club's Media Ventures, which oversees the America's Best Racing brand, and several other structural changes were made to the management team, said Jockey Club president and COO James L.
