The "Race to Give," an online giving and awareness program to support Thoroughbred aftercare was launched Wednesday by Hagyard Equine Medical Institute and Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA). Sales Industry Support TCA Charities

Donations from several of last season's sales raised over $100,000 to assist backstretch and farm worker-focused Thoroughbred Charities of America charities. The funds will be awarded to approved grant applicants during TCA's current granting cycle. The Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) will conduct an online auction called 'Bid on the Bluegrass,' featuring unique, Kentucky Derby-themed items and experiences associated with several of the participants in the 2021 GI Kentucky Derby. The 31st annual Thoroughbred Charities of America Stallion Season Auction, the largest for the organization, is open for bidding. Thoroughbred Charities of America will hold its 31st Annual Stallion Season Auction from Wednesday, Jan. 6 through Tuesday, Jan. 12, TCA announced Tuesday. It is the largest annual fundraiser for the nonprofit organization. The fundraiser opens with an online auction of stallion seasons beginning at 9 a.m. EST Jan. 6 and continues through 4:30 p.m. EST Jan. 8. TCA Horses First Fund Supporting Backstretch, Aftercare Organizations

Thoroughbred Charities of America's Horses First Fund is providing funding to backstretch and aftercare organizations working to support the Thoroughbred community amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Established in 2016 by LNJ Foxwoods, the Horses First Fund assists Thoroughbreds and their caretakers in need of emergency aid due to large scale neglect, natural disaster, or other catastrophe.
