Thoroughbred Charities of America will hold its 31st Annual Stallion Season Auction from Wednesday, Jan. 6 through Tuesday, Jan. 12, TCA announced Tuesday. It is the largest annual fundraiser for the nonprofit organization. The fundraiser opens with an online auction of stallion seasons beginning at 9 a.m. EST Jan. 6 and continues through 4:30 p.m. EST Jan. 8. Over 150 seasons will be available for online bidding including ones from Ghostzapper, Liam's Map, Palace Malice, More Than Ready, Speightstown, and Gun Runner. The Iowa Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association is conducting an online auction of seasons to more than 100 stallions from 12 states. The auction begins Dec. 5 and closes at 7 p.m. (CDT) Monday, Dec. 14. A list of the stallions donated and details of the auction can be found here. The fifth annual Jockeys and Jeans Stallion Season sale has attracted a host of new and popular stallions, led by Eclipse Award-winning Champion Sprinter Runhappy.
