Jockey Club of Canada Announces Virtual Sovereign Awards

The 2019 Sovereign Awards ceremony was scheduled to take place Apr. 16, but was postpone due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the Jockey Club of Canada has now decided to host the event through a virtual presentation no later than May 31. The 45th annual Sovereign Awards ceremonies, scheduled for Apr. 20 in northwest suburban Toronto, has been postponed indefinitely in response to the coronavirus crisis, The Jockey Club of Canada announced Monday. The Jockey Club of Canada announced the finalists for the 2019 Sovereign Awards, which honors Canada's champions and recognizing their achievements in Canadian Thoroughbred Racing and Breeding.
