Storm Eunice Forces Cancellations in UK/Ire

The approach of Storm Eunice, which will impact Ireland and the United Kingdom on Friday, has caused some racecourses to cancel their cards as a precautionary measure. ARC Confirms Prizemoney Plans Through April

The prizemoney investment plans for the Arena Racing Company's Programme Book One 2022, which runs from January through April, were confirmed on Thursday. These initiatives are part of ARC's £21.7 million 2022 prizemoney investment plan. The All-Weather Championships will be held at Newcastle for the first time, as previously announced, and Flat racing will return to Southwell with a new Tapeta surface. Trio of Southwell Fixtures Moved

Southwell, which has suspended jumps racing, will have its next three fixtures transferred to other tracks, the British Horseracing Authority announced on Tuesday. The Sept. 15 card has moved to Hexam, while the Oct. 1 card will instead be held at Ffos Las. Lingfield hosts the Oct. 22 fixture. Storm Ciara Causes Cancellations

Storm Ciara has forced the abandonment of all three of Sunday's meetings in Britain and Ireland. Exeter was first to be called off, shortly before a scheduled 8 a.m. inspection, and then Southwell's all-weather meeting and Punchestown's Grand National Trial card followed around an hour later.
