Goffs and Tattersalls Ireland have committed support of €50,000 each over the next three years toward the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders' Association's National Hunt Fillies Bonus Scheme, the ITBA announced. The support is in addition to the €100,000 from Horse Racing Ireland through the Foal Levy. Established in 2013, the scheme's aim was to enhance the prices of fillies at store sales and encourage breeders to return their fillies in training. The complete schedule and locations of the Treo Eile Showing Pathway Series 2023, which will be sponsored by Tattersalls Ireland this year, were announced on Friday. There has been a change to the treatment of point-to-point performances in sale company catalogues, the International Cataloguing Standards Committee (ICSC) European sub-committee announced on Friday. Currently, winning British and Irish point-to-point performers are classified as runners, but not as winners in either the subject horse detail or the dam summary line. The Tattersalls Ireland Sapphire Sale, slated for Nov. 12, was launched by the sales company on Wednesday. Tattersalls Ireland concluded its 2021 slate of sales on Saturday with the single-session November Flat Sale of foals, yearlings and mares. From 141-head offered, 82 were sold for €567,000 at a clearance rate of 58%. The average was €6,915, and the median was a record for the sale at €5,500. Thomond O'Mara, under the Kilronan moniker, signed for the sale's top lot, a €29,000 yearling colt by first-crop sire Tasleet (GB) from Lumville Farm.
