Museum Seeks Auction Items for Countdown to Triple Crown Fundraiser

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame is seeking auction items from the Thoroughbred industry, as well as businesses around Saratoga Springs ahead of its third annual "Countdown to the Triple Crown" fundraising event, scheduled for Feb. 1. Businesses who donate an item, experience, or gift card will be  promoted leading up to the event through the museum's social media channels and through database distribution. The Residences At The Adelphi Hotel Celebrate Grand Opening

The Residences at The Adelphi Hotel will celebrate their grand opening this afternoon, Aug. 22, with a ribbon cutting at 3:00 p.m. ET and a set of tours from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET., the property management said in a press release Thursday. The event, which includes a cocktail reception, will be attended by the Mayor of Saratoga John Safford and Senator James Tedisco. Schosberg To Be Honored For New York Aftercare Efforts Sept. 10

Honoring retired trainer Rick Schosberg, the New York State Thoroughbred Breeding and Development Fund will hold a 'Salute to Thoroughbred Aftercare' from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET. Sept. 10 at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, the fund said in a Friday release. Besides honoring Schosberg, who has exerted a positive influence over aftercare organizations TAKE2 and Take The Lead, attendees will watch the trailer for the documentary "Off Track: Fate of a Racehorse" and hear from the film's director, John Wager.

Start Of Fasig-Tipton NY-Bred Sale Pushed Back By 30 Minutes

The first of two sessions of the Fasig-Tipton New York-Bred Yearlings Sale will begin Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. ET after originally being scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. The change was necessitated by the postponement of the GI FanDuel Fourstardave Handicap and GI Saratoga Derby Invitational Stakes from Saturday to now be run as the final two races on Sunday's program at 6:16 p.m. and 6:49 p.m., respectively. Jockey Karaoke At The Spa Raises Over $140K For PDJF, Del Mar Next

The 12th annual jockey karaoke contest held July 25 in Saratoga Springs raised over $140,000 for the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF) and the second half of the event is scheduled for next Sunday, Aug. 11 at Del Mar, the non-profit said in a release on Thursday. Silks and Satins 5k to Benefit Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga

Proceeds from the 2024 Jess Clark Memorial Silks & Satins 5k Race will benefit the nonprofit Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga, the group announced via presser Friday.
