Chapel Stud Announce Death of Promising Jumps Sire Walzertakt

Chapel Stud's National Hunt stallion Walzertakt (Ger) has died following a freak accident, the operation announced on Sunday. Roisin Close, Chapel Stud manager, said, "Unfortunately, Walzertakt incurred an accident whilst receiving rehab in preparation to stand next season and despite everyone's best efforts to save him he had to be put to sleep. Classic winner Indian Haven (GB) (Indian Ridge {Ire}), a winner of the 2003 G1 Irish 2000 Guineas, died peacefully in his paddock at Chapel Stud on Tuesday. The son of G2 Prix de Royallieu and G2 Park Hill S. heroine Madame Dubois (GB) (Legend Of France) was 23. Chapel Stud to Offer 'Pick a Nom' Initiative

A new stallion nomination initiative, 'Pick a Nom', was launched by Chapel Stud on Thursday. The initiative applies to Chapel Stud stallions Bangkok (Ire) (Australia {GB}), Planteur (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}), and Walzertakt (Ger) (Montjeu {Ire}). It offers from 10% to 50% discounts on the stallions' Standard Stud Fee (FFR) of £4,000 for Planteur, £3,000 for Bangkok, and £2,500 for Walzertakt. Planteur on the Move to Chapel Stud
