Retired Racehorse Project Gets $38,700 Match For 2024 Year-End Giving Campaign

The Retired Racehorse Project's 2024 year-end giving campaign will include a total goal of $100,000, including a $38,700 match pledge that will double contributions from donors who support the organization's charitable mission to increase demand for Thoroughbreds beyond racing. Breeders' Cup Launches Text-To-Donate Program To Support TAA

Breeders' Cup Limited has launched a text-to-donate program ahead of next weekend's races to benefit Thoroughbred aftercare in the lead-up to the 2024 Breeders' Cup World Championships held Nov. 1-2 at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, the program announced Thursday. The Breeders' Cup will match up to $10,000 to support the program. TAA Grants $3.8 Million To Accredited Organizations For 2023

The Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) has awarded over $3.8 million as grants to 86 Thoroughbred aftercare organizations that currently hold Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance accreditation for 2023. In total, the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance has now granted over $31.9 million earmarked specifically for equine care. These funds have been directed to Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance-accredited organizations, which, through their collective efforts, have successfully retrained, retired, and rehomed over 16,500 Thoroughbreds across approximately 180 facilities.
