The Retired Racehorse Project (RRP), formed in 2010 under the banner of the "Retired Racehorse Training Project," is a non-profit organization with a mission to boost the presence of and demand for off-track Thoroughbreds in the show and recreational riding world. RRP Bill of Sale Available for Download

Officials at the Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) have made available a bill of sale for download and encourage any horsepeople who are being forced to retire horses prematurely due to the COVID-19 outbreak to make use of it as they attempt to arrange for new homes for their retirees. A bill of sale protects both buyer and seller, and provides proof of ownership for the buyer. 616 Entries Accepted for 2020 TB Makeover

A total of 616 entries, representing 604 unique trainers and teams, were accepted Friday for the 2020 Thoroughbred Makeover Oct. 7-10 at the Kentucky Horse Park. The application process for the 2020 Thoroughbred Makeover required trainers to demonstrate their skills and expertise through competition results, videos and references, as well as a letter from a vet stating that the applicant had the necessary skills and knowledge to appropriately care for a horse transitioning off the track. KY-bred Award Tops 2019 Thoroughbred Makeover Special Awards

The Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) announced a full slate of new and returning special awards that will be offered at the 2019 Thoroughbred Makeover, presented by Thoroughbred Charities of America. The 2019 Thoroughbred Makeover takes place October 2-5 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. The Kentucky Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders, Inc.
