British Champions Day Contributes to New Record World Pool Turnover

Turnover on World Pool bet types across the 12 races from Randwick, Caulfield and Ascot on Saturday reached a record high for a single day's racing, the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) announced on Tuesday. A total of HK$424.1m (around £48m) was staked from over 28 countries, eclipsing the previous record of HK$385.2m (£38m) set when 12 races from the Queensland and Epsom Derby meetings took place under the World Pool banner earlier this year. World Pool Year-On-Year Turnover Increases By 24 Percent To HK$7.4 Billion

The World Pool season has ended with a 24% year-on-year turnover increase to HK$7.4 billion, the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) announced on Tuesday. The largest globally commingled horse racing pools created and powered by the HKJC, the World Pool started and finished the year at Flemington Racecourse in Australia. World Pool Increases at '22 Royal Ascot Meeting

Royal Ascot set a new record with £168 million gross turnover for World Pool bets across the five-day meeting, which drew 273,465 attendees. Gross turnover for World Pool bets increased 35 percent over 2021's figures of £123.9 million. This year, the three biggest pools of the week were amassed in the G1 Coronation S.
