Pin Oak Stud to Offer Remaining Stock at Fasig-Tipton Kentucky

Josephine Abercrombie's Pin Oak Stud, one of the country's most successful Thoroughbred breeding and racing operations over the past six decades, will be offering its remaining broodmares, weanlings, and some racing fillies at Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Sept. 12. Denali Stud will handle the sale as agent for Pin Oak. Separate from this main group are 14 yearlings which will be offered in the upcoming Keeneland September Sale and an additional yearling entered to sell at Fasig-Tipton's Saratoga Sale. MGSW Synchrony Retired; Stud Plans Pending

Six-time graded stakes winner and Pin Oak Stud homebred Synchrony (Tapit--Brownie Points, by Forest Wildcat) has been retired from racing. The Michael Stidham trainee sustained a minor injury in his last out, an off-the-board finish in Monmouth Park's Oceanport S. Aug. 9, and it was determined the required time to fully recover would cause him to miss the major fall racing. Maria's Mon's Growing European Legacy

With the successful Chantilly debut of George Strawbridge homebred and new 'TDN Rising Star' Another Sky (Fr) (Le Havre {Ire}) in March (video), the colt appears to be another feather in the cap of his dam, the unraced Darkova (Maria's Mon).
