Seventeen Hall of Fame jockeys--a list that includes former Monmouth Park leading riders Don Brumfield, Julie Krone and Craig Perret--will be on hand when the seventh annual Jockeys and Jeans Fundraiser holds its annual event at Monmouth Park on Sept. 11. All of the proceeds from the event go directly to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund. Irad Ortiz Promotion Raises $22,000 for PDJF

Jockeys and Jeans, in conjunction with Uncle Louie G's Italian Ices, an onsite Gulfstream Park vendor, raised over $22,000 for the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund Saturday March 13 through sales of the masked Irad Ortiz bobbleheads at the track and online. Ortiz personally signed hundreds of the bobbleheads there, and Klaravich Stables, whose colors the bobblehead wears, made a substantial donation. Jockeys and Jeans Great American Stallion Season Sale to Benefit PDJF

The Jockeys and Jeans Great American Stallion Season Sale will once again benefit the PDJF and this year will offer both Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse stallions. The auction begins Jan. 29 at 9 a.m. and ends Feb. 1 at 5 p.m on Starquine.com. A season preview will be available Jan. 28. All seasons sold, their buyers and their prices are private. All seasons are non-guaranteed and donors have the option of including a breed-back the following year if the buyer's mare does not get in foal on first cover.

Jockeys and Jeans Stallion Season Sale a Success

Approximately $70,000 was raised by the Jockeys and Jeans Stallion Season Sale for the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF), double its 2019 revenues, the organization announced Monday. Over 20 stallion seasons were sold, including a season to Claiborne Farm's Runhappy (Super Saver), which topped proceedings at $25,000.
