Brookdale Racing, Mark Edwards, Judy Hicks and Magdalena Racing's Thorpedo Anna (Fast Anna) posted her final work Saturday at Saratoga in preparation for Saturday's GI Cotillion Stakes at Parx Racing. Trained by Kenny McPeek, the GI Kentucky Oaks winner covered five furlongs in 1:00.20 over the Oklahoma dirt training track under regular exercise rider Danny Ramsey. Update: Parx Turf Course To Be Tested Per HISA

On Wednesday, Aug. 28 it was reported that HISA and the local horsemen's group pressured Parx management to close down its turf course. Now the racetrack is planning to put the surface through a series of tests, according to a statement issued by HISA on Thursday. Parx Racing, Penn National Partner to Offer Free Shuttle Service on Live Race Days

Parx Racing and the Pennsylvania Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association (PAHBPA) have launched a new joint venture to provide a free equine shuttle service from Penn National Racecourse to Parx Racing. The shuttle service, which will be available on live racing days at Parx, is capable of transporting up to 10 horses. The program will begin on Labor Day, Sept. 2. Parx Trainer Joe Taylor Hit With Eight-Year Suspension, Claims He Was Framed

Trainer Joe Taylor, a longtime fixture at Parx and the leading trainer there in 2019, has received an eight-year suspension handed down by the Horseracing Integrity and Welfare Unit (HIWU), after he had two horses test positive for banned substances.
