A colt from the second crop of MGISW Midnight Storm (Pioneerof the Nile) (Hip 67) topped the Selected Yearling portion of the OBS October Sale when bringing $170,000 from Elusive Thoroughbreds. That entity was the session's leading buyer, taking home three head for $323,000. Consigned by Lisa McGreevy's Abbie Road Farm, Hip 67 was bred in Pennsylvania by Mary Katherine Haire. The Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's October Yearling Sale begins with a session of selected yearlings Tuesday and continues Wednesday with an open session. The supplemental catalogue for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2021 October Yearling Sale is now available via the OBS website and available in printed form on the OBS grounds. The two-day sale is set for Oct. 12-13. There were 17 additions to the Selected Yearlings portion as Hips 136-152. Thirty-two horses have been added to the Open Yearling Sale, selling as Hips 565-596. The Selected Yearlings portion is Tuesday, beginning at 1 p.m. and the Open Yearling section is Wednesday, starting at 11 a.m.

OCALA, FL - The three-day Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's June Sale of 2-Year-Olds more than bounced back from its 2020 pandemic-induced lull, ending Friday with its highest-ever gross and average and with a record-tying median. In all, 560 juveniles grossed $24,492,950 for an average of $43,737--besting the previous record figures of $23,475,500 and $39,722, respectively, set in 2015. The cumulative median was $20,000.
