Change to New York Breeding Fund Mare Rules

The New York State Thoroughbred Breeding and Development Fund (NYTBDF)'s board of directors announced Friday the adoption of new rules concerning the residency requirements for dams of New York-bred foals, including certain mares purchased at public auction on or after Nov. 1, 2019. NY-Breds to be Catalogued as a Group at F-T Midlantic

All New York-bred yearlings entered at Fasig-Tipton's Midlantic Fall Yearlings Sale will be catalogued together as a group in 2020, the company announced Wednesday. First Mo Town Foal a New York-Bred

A colt out of Dark Dolores (Strong Hope) became the first foal sired by Coolmore's Mo Town (Uncle Mo--Grazie Mille, by Bernardini) when he hit the ground Jan. 14 at Stonegate Stables in New York. The 13-year-old Dark Dolores is a daughter of Esprit d'Escalier (Diesis {GB}), the dam of GSW & MGISP Gastronomical (Sunshine Forever) and SW/GSP Spanish John (Dynaformer).
