The Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings Sale, with a catalogue of 1,614 head, brings the curtain down on what has been a record-setting yearling sales season with its four-day run beginning Monday in Lexington. Sanford Bacon Passes Away

Longtime New York breeder Sanford Bacon passed away Friday. He was 95. Bacon bred hard-knocking Say Florida Sandy (Personal Flag), a multiple graded stakes winner and earner of over $2 million, as well as his half-sister Dancin Renee (Distinctive Pro). The catalogue for the second annual New York-Bred Horses of Racing Age Sale hosted by the digital auction company Wanamakers, in conjunction with New York Thoroughbred Breeders, Inc., is now available online at wanamakers.com.
