Classic Form To The Fore At Goffs London Sale

The Goffs London Sale scaled new heights in 2022 when G1 Derby runner-up Hoo Ya Mal (GB) (Territories {Ire}) sold to Gai Waterhouse, Adrian Bott and Johnny McKeever for £1.2 million, while last year that sum was very nearly matched when the G3 Marble Hill S. winner Givemethebeatboys was bought by Bronson Racing for £1.1 million, less than 24 hours before his commendable fourth-place finish in the G2 Coventry S. at Royal Ascot. Group 2 winner Ubettabelieveit (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}) sired his first reported foal at 7:15 a.m., Mickley Stud tweeted on Monday. The G2 Flying Childers S. victor's filly foal is out of Ayresome Angel (GB) (Captain Gerrard {Ire}) from the family of Hong Kong Derby third Crack On Crack On (GB) (Havana Gold {Ire}). First Winner For Massaat

Mickley Stud's first-season sire Massaat (Ire) (by Teofilo {Ire}) had his first winner on Thursday as the Australian Bloodstock acquisition Mascapone (GB) prevailed at Chelmsford. Not seen since finishing fourth in Doncaster's Brocklesby Mar. 26, the 7-4 favourite was anchored in rear early by Jamie Spencer in the opening six-furlong maiden. Record Foal Draft For G1 Vendors Mickley Stud

From bringing its largest draft of 26 foals to the Tattersalls December Sale in 2020, Mickley Stud's consignment for this week has almost doubled in size again to 50 weanlings.  It may be time-consuming for prospective buyers to work their way through this batch of youngsters down in the Solario Yard but it could also prove worthwhile. Richard Kent's Mickley Stud will welcome the G2 Flying Childers S. winner Ubettabelieveit (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}--Ladylishandra {Ire}, by Mujadil) to its stallion ranks for the 2022 season. Trained by Nigel Tinkler for owner Martin Webb, Ubettabelieveit won on his second start at two and followed that up with victory in the Listed National S. at Sandown. Mickley Stud To Stand Dark Angel Half-Brother

Almanaara (Ire) (Shamardal-Midnight Angel {GB}, by Machiavellian), a half-brother to Dark Angel (Ire) and a winner in Ireland and Dubai, will take up stud duty in 2021 at Mickley Stud in North Shropshire.
