GSW and 'TDN Rising Star' Strike Power (Speightstown--Gold d'Oro, by Medaglia d'Oro) was purchased by breeder Nathan Granger in partnership with Jay Adcock's Red River Farm, where he will stand stud in Louisiana. The deal was brokered by Jack Brothers of Hidden Brook Farm. He will stand the 2022 season for $2,000 LFSN. Owned and bred by Don and Donna Adam's Courtlandt Farm, Strike Power retires with a record of 20-4-4-1 and earnings of $497,935. His career was highlighted by a win in the 2018 GIII Swale S.

Repairs Continue at Delta Downs, Racing Could Resume Late November

Officials at Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel in Vinton, Louisiana, which suffered widespread damage during Hurricane Laura Aug. 27, report that they are working towards issuing a revised schedule for its 2020-2021 racing season and that live racing could resume by the end of November. New Vocation to Hold Silent Auction on LA Derby Day

Owners with horses racing at the Fair Grounds on Louisiana Derby Day Saturday are being encouraged to pledge a percentage of their earnings to support New Vocations efforts. All funds raised will go directly to support the horses currently at the Louisiana facility, which has already served over 50 retired racehorses since opening last year.
