Lone Star Park Hosts Texas Yearling Sale On Monday Aug. 26

The Lone Star Park Sales Pavilion in Grand Prairie will once again host the Texas Thoroughbred Association's (TTA) single-session Texas Yearling Sale Monday beginning at 10 a.m. CT. The TTA catalogue includes 207 head from Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma, plus a special dispersal of 10 horses consigned by CS Sales, agent for Three Feathers Farm. A colt by Custom for Carlos (hip 7) topped the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association's 2021 Yearling and Mixed Sale Saturday in Opelousas, Louisiana on a winning bid of $47,000 from Ricky Lagrange. Bred by Larry Romero, the bay is out of speedy 10-time winner Labadeel (Forest Wildcat). He was consigned by Clear Creek Stud, which was responsible for the auction's top seven lots.
