Jockey Jorge F. Hernandez was taken by ambulance to Monmouth Medical Center for "evaluation and X-rays," according to Monmouth Park Medical Director Dr. Angelo Chinnici, after being unseated from his mount in the third race at the Jersey Shore oval Sunday. Hernandez, a native of Santiago, Chile, who is in his first summer of riding at Monmouth Park, went down at the half-mile pole during the 5 1/2-furlong claiming race on the turf when his mount, Brennan's War, took a bad step.
