Javier Castellano will accept his George Woolf Memorial Jockey Trophy Award Sunday at Santa Anita. The four-time Eclipse Award winner is the 74th winner of the Woolf Award, which has been presented annually by Santa Anita since 1950. Determined by a vote of jockeys nationwide and named for the late jockey who was regarded as one of the greatest big money riders of his era, the Woolf Award trophy is a replica of the life-sized stature of Woolf that adorns Santa Anita's Paddock Gardens area.  

A four-time Eclipse Award winner and a member of racing's Hall of Fame since 2017, Venezuelan native Javier Castellano has won the 2023 George Woolf Memorial Jockey Award via a nationwide vote of his fellow riders.
