Horseshoe Indianapolis took part in an evening of activities linked to the World Jockey Challenge Saturday with funds and awareness being raised for the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF). ITOBA's Offers New Format For Fall Sale

The Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (ITOBA) is introducing a new format for the 2023 Fall Mixed sale. This year will feature a Live Yearling sale, a Paddock sale and a Mixed Digital one. The Live Yearling sale will be held on Oct. 14 at the Horseshoe Indianapolis Receiving Barn at 1:00 p.m. E.T. This sale will feature up to 80 Indiana bred, Indiana sired and out-of-state yearlings. The Paddock sale will take place directly after and only feature horses of racing age. ITOBA Fall Mixed Catalogue Now Online

The catalog for the Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association Fall Mixed Sale is now online and printed copies will be mailing out shortly, ITOBA announced Wednesday. The auction will be held Saturday, Oct. 16, at 1 p.m. at the receiving barn at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino. The auction will be managed by Duane Swingley Auctioneers. Texas Red Yearling Tops ITOBA Fall Mixed Sale

A Texas Red yearling sold for $18,200 to Roger Spiess to top the Oct. 31 Indiana Thoroughbred Owners' and Breeders' Association (ITOBA) Fall Mixed Sale. The Indiana-bred gelding out of Color Me Special (River Special) was consigned by Dawn Martin. Overall, 69 horses went through the ring.
