INS Thoroughbred Breeding Management Course

The 2024 Thoroughbred Breeding Management Course students have been selected, the Irish National Stud (INS) announced on Thursday. Once again, the course was highly oversubscribed. The Class of 2024 comprises students from 10 countries including Ireland, United Kingdom, Germany, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Brazil, Uruguay, and the United States of America. A total of 27 students from eight countries will take part in the 2023 Irish National Stud Thoroughbred Breeding Management Course, which begins in mid-January next year. The programme is a unique combination of practical training, classroom lectures, cultural immersion, personal and professional development which equips students with first-hand and a well-rounded understanding of the Thoroughbred industry. The 2022 Irish National Stud Thoroughbred Breeding Management Course graduated in Tully on Tuesday. A total of 30 students from seven countries were awarded their certificates, with INS Chairman Matt Dempsey addressing the gathered guests, as well as CEO Cathal Beale. Theresa O'Donoghue was awarded the Gold Medal, while the Silver Medal went to Alexander Sausville, representing Ireland and the USA, respectively.
