Given a letter-perfect steer by the veteran Gerald Mosse, the Ian Williams-trained Parlando (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) bested a dozen others to win Friday's Vision 2030 by Beyon handicap over the 2000 metres by a length and with it, took home the $40,000 bonus prize for the Bahrain Turf Series, which concluded Friday at Sakhir. Godolphin's 14-strong draft took the four top spots during Tuesday's Tattersalls Ascot June Sale. The dearest of them all was lot 48, the four-time winner Silent Film (GB) (New Approach {Ire}), who went to Ian Williams Racing for £120,000. Buxted Too Named All-Weather Bonus Horse Of The Month

Buxted Too (GB) (Iffraaj {GB}) earned enough points last month to be the ARC £1-million All-Weather Bonus Horse of the Month for February. His award is £40,000, as the bonus was doubled from February to April. The competition lasts from Oct. 18 through Apr. 7, with points being awarded for finishing first through fifth. Horsemen Pay Tribute to the Passing of Owner Noel Martin

The tributes continued Wednesday for prominent owner Noel Martin, who passed away one day earlier at the age of 60. Martin was perhaps best known in racing circles as the owner of Jacqueline Quest (Ire) (Rock of Gibraltar {Ire}), named after his late wife following her death in 2000.
