High Court Dispute Between Parkin And Foley Adjourned Until Next Month

A dispute between Classic-winning owner Steve Parkin and his former racing and bloodstock advisor Joe Foley over the ownership of Sands Of Mali continued in the High Court on Tuesday.  Parkin and Foley, the owner of Ballyhane Stud, where Sands Of Mali (Fr) is based, severed ties back in March. Parkin Alleges Sands Of Mali Unlawfully Held At Ballyhane Stud

First-season sire Sands Of Mali (Fr) is at the centre of allegations brought by Steve Parkin against Joe Foley's Ballyhane Stud, the Irish Independent reported on Wednesday. Parkin and his company Clipper BCS, LLP say he acquired the horse for £270,000 in August of 2020, but that Foley is now claiming a 50% share of the son of Panis. Injunction Extended For The Jockey Club At Epsom Downs

An injunction prohibiting acts of intentional disruption at The Jockey Club's Epsom Downs Racecourse has been extended an additional five years by a High Court judge, TJC announced on Wednesday. The injunction will be subject to an annual review. The original injunction was put in place in May of last year when protesters from Animal Rising made it clear that they planned to breach course security and stage a disruptive protest at the Derby Festival. Injunction Granted to Curb Derby Disruption

Following forewarned threats of action from the protest group Animal Rising during the Derby meeting, The Jockey Club, which owns Epsom Downs Racecourse, has been granted a High Court injunction in which prohibits acts of intentional disruption. Granted after a hearing on Friday, the injunction prohibits individuals from entering onto the racetrack and carrying out other acts which would intentionally disrupt the races.
