Gross Surpasses 2023 Total with Two Days Remaining at Keeneland

Showing continued overall strength through the middle of the market, Keeneland's seventh day of the November Sale extended the upward trend that it had shown through much of the first six days of selling. At the conclusion of Monday's session, gross sales (through the ring) reached $181,460,500, surpassing last year's gross of $176.5 million for the entire nine-day run. Coolmore Goes to $2 Million for Dam of Nysos

Zetta Z (Bernardini), who was added to the Fasig-Tipton Winter Mixed Sale catalogue just Sunday, a day after her son Nysos (Nyquist) produced a dominating victory in the GIII Robert B. Lewis S., sold for $2 million to the bid of Coolmore's Adrian Wallace Tuesday in Lexington. The 14-year-old mare, consigned by Grovendale Sales, sold in foal to Cyberknife. She is from the family of Unbridled Elaine and Glitter Woman.

Keogh Hopeful November Momentum Will Roll Into the New Year

James Keogh's Grovendale Sales enjoyed a very strong Keeneland November Sale about seven weeks ago. Finishing in the top 10 on the consignor standings, Grovendale sold 62 head for $6.9 million and had an especially good showing during the auction's second session. The Irishman says he hopes that success will carry into the upcoming Keeneland January Sale, where his consignment will offer 42 horses.
