Son of Camelot Tops Goffs Day Two

KILDARE, Ireland--The momentum built up on day one of the Goffs November Foal sale carried through Tuesday when strong trade was again the order of the day. Strong Start to Goffs November Foal Sale

KILDARE, Ireland--Unlike last year when it took place the week before Christmas, the Goffs November Foal Sale returned to its rightful place in the calendar and proceedings got off to a very positive start on Monday. As well as last year's session-topping high price of €75,000 being eclipsed when a son of Mehmas (Ire) sold for €140,000, all the other metrics comfortably surpassed those achieved in an albeit troubled 2020 edition, headed by a 77% clearance rate which yielded an aggregate of €3,384,500, some 55% up on last year. Also...

One feature from Monday's sale was the healthy 87% clearance rate and this coupled with...

Barberini Lands Goffs Topper

KILDARE, Ireland--Different day, different trade. As expected, business at Goffs on Saturday proved a good bit more lively as pin-hookers and end users alike did battle for some quality foals. Although last year's corresponding top price of €135,000 was exceeded by a €155,000 Sea The Stars (Ire) filly foal, other sale indicators suggest the market continues to struggle in the face of uncontrollable circumstances. The clearance rate of 79%, while considerably improved from Friday was still a little shy of last year's 86%. Similarly, the aggregate of €4,855,900, average of...
