Vaccarezza Organizes Fundraiser for Tornado Victims

A fundraising event to help benefit the families affected by last weekend's devastating Western Kentucky tornado will take place at Frank & Dino's restaurant in Lexington on Sunday, Jan. 2. TRF Hay Drive Underway With $60K Matching Gift

The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF) has received a $60,000 matching gift from the Santulli Family Foundation to launch the 2021 Hay Drive. Richard and Peggy Santulli will match every dollar donated to the TRF up to $60,000 for this campaign. TfRI and France Galop Support Cheval Esperance

Together for Racing International (TfRI) and France Galop have joined forces to support Cheval Esperance, an association to give those either socially or physically disadvantaged the opportunity to develop skills and confidence through equine therapy. France Galop has donated a race during its popular Deauville meeting to the cause, with the goal of raising €20,000. An event held Sunday, Aug. 1 at McCarthy's Irish Bar in downtown Lexington raised better than $83,000 to benefit the family of Mike Recio, the part-owner of the South Point Sales Consignment, who is battling sepsis in the intensive care unit at Central Baptist Hospital.
