SirePower+: Q and A With Olivier Delloye On Eve of Arqana Sale

Ten days ago, the Arqana sales company announced the launch of SirePower+, a tailored financing programme which offers breeders the opportunity to have 50% of their 2025 stallion covering fee financed by the Deauville auction house up until the offspring is sold at an Arqana sale. Classic Sire Muhaarar's Fee Announced

Champion sprinter Muhaarar (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}), who has moved to Haras du Petit Tellier for the 2024 breeding season, will stand for €14,000, co-owner Haras des Capucines announced on X. Now owned by Shadwell and a consortium of French breeders including Haras des Capucines, and Haras de Saint-Pair, the bay is managed by Capucines Bloodstock, with Eric Puerari taking point. Major VAT Decrease For French Breeding

The rate of Value Added Tax (VAT) for Thoroughbred breeding in France has been reduced from 10% to 5.5%, according to a report by Jour de Galop on Tuesday. Furthermore, the tax reduction will be applied retrospectively to Jan. 1, 2023. Loic Malivet, president of the Federation des Eleveurs du Galop (French TBA), said, "This rate of 5.5% is very important because it puts racing back in the agricultural sector, and that's only fair. I thank the minister of Agriculture and the Director of the Horse."
